Get an EORI number for Ireland
Irish businesses register for an EORI number with Revenue. If your company is outside the EU, you don't need an Irish number: an EORI number from any EU country works in Ireland, because one EU EORI covers all 27 countries. We file yours in the Netherlands.
Who issues EORI numbers in Ireland
Revenue, Ireland's tax and customs authority. Businesses apply through the Revenue Online Service (ROS), and must include the business's Eircode (postcode) in the registration.
Using an EU EORI number in Ireland
An EORI number issued by any EU country is valid across the whole EU, including Ireland. Irish customs check it on the EU register, the same way they check an Irish one.
A company that isn't established in the EU registers in the EU country where it first lodges a customs declaration. If that's Ireland, the number comes from Revenue. If it's another EU country, that country issues it, and you use it in Ireland as well.
How we get yours
We prepare your application and file it with Dutch Customs, which issues an EU EORI number you can use in Ireland and every other EU country. You don't need an Irish or EU company, and you pay only once the number is issued.
Shipping between Ireland and Northern Ireland
Goods moving between Ireland and Northern Ireland stay within the EU's customs rules, so you don't need an XI EORI number for that. If you also move goods into Northern Ireland from Great Britain, see XI EORI numbers.
